Abstract (EN)

Aim of this study; the effect of the violence from husbands to supouses to their partners self esteem and sexual lives Participants in this study were from İstanbul area.In the research; personal information form, Sexual Life Quality Scale (women), Psychological Violance Attitude of Men During Flirting Period Scale, Domestic Violence to Women Scale, Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale were used. There is a significant corralation between self esteem and psychological violence during flirting period. Also there is no significant corralation between sexual life quality and psychological violence from men during flirting period. there is a significant corralation between self esteem and domestic violence to women. There is also significant corralation between self esteem and physical violence sub-group. The verbal violence to women can be seen as a suppresion and intimidation method. Psychological violence is very common in our daily world and it can be seen as a dynamic discussion topic. The subject of psychological violence can be harmful for the persons self esteem and freedom. Psychological violence mostly brings up high levels of anger with it.
