Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effect of sexual myth and perceived power in marriage on marital satisfaction among married women was examined. Factorial ANOVA was used to examine the effect of sexual myth and perceived power in marriage on marital satisfaction. Sexual Myths Scale, Marital Life Scale and Dual Power Scale were used as data collection tools. The scales were applied to 410 married women via online platform (Google forms) and the snowball technique was used. According to the results of the research, marital satisfaction of married women differs only according to the perceived power level in marriage. Levels of sexual myth and the common relationship between sexual myth and perceived power in married women do not create a differentiation in marital satisfaction. When marital satisfaction, sexual myths and perceived power in marriage are analyzed in terms of some demographic variables, while the duration of marriage was positively associated only with marital satisfaction; marital satisfaction and sexual myths differentiated according to the number of children. Finally, marital satisfaction and perceived power in marriage differentiated according to the frequency of sexual intercourse. The results were discussed in the light of the literature and recommendations were made to the practitioners and future researches in line with the results.
