Abstract (EN)

The technological developments and the consumer expectations brought some innovations to the shopping concept. First of these is the concept of e-commerce. The spread usage of the internet and computer had definitely an important role in the emerging of the e-commerce concept. The e-commerce systems with broader product lines and price brackets facilitated the shopping and overcame the physical borders of the consumption culture over the wider geographies. Hence an electronic network was installed - allowing easy communication between the consumer, manufacturer and states and proved to be time and space saving. The evolving of the social statues of the women resulted in the ability of managing the consumption trends. The material and moral resources gained by the women triggered the shopping drive already existent on the genetic map. Today companies are looking forward to the female consumer market and strengthen their operations through e-commerce channels. This study was carried out with the purpose to search and analyze the usage trends of e-commerce systems of the women consumers. The study employed the questionnaire technique including 400 female consumers living in the center of Gaziantep province. The participants were asked their frequencies of usage of internet and e-commerce, the reasons of preference of the e-commerce as well as some demographic questions.
