Abstract (EN)

A desire to recognize and explore the space is one of the most basic instincts of human beings. When a person begins to make sense of physical space, he establishes a connection between himself and the quality and quantities of the elements through mental assessment. For this reason, while the historical and social developments that occurred in the time cycle change the social, cognitive and physical needs of the human, they also distinguish indirectly public spaces which are the common areas of the communities.Public spaces form public interfaces by defining gabs. Public spaces create visual and perceptual effects on users by the public interfaces that they created. The public interfaces with their horizontal and vertical components reveal the circumstances that change perceptually by defining the physical and visual characteristics of the urban pattern for users. In this study, Section 1 describes the aim of the thesis, summary of the literature and hypothesis.
