Abstract (EN)
In this study, kanun methods have been examined in terms of right and left hand techniques. This study contains all of the kanun methods which were published until present day. General survey method has been chosen as the method of this study. Information was gathered through the usage of resource screening. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to kanun education by defining the right and left hand techniques affected by notation, speed, rhythm and different playing styles with their differences and similarities. Different right and left hand techniques seen in kanun methods have been explained and shown on the notation of the presented sample musical works. In conclusion, three different approaches have been found in kanun methods in terms of right and left hand techniques. Also in this study, kanun methods were compared and evaluated according to their subjective contents about right and left hand techniques in kanun playing. According to all work done, suggestions have been made for educators and trainees who will use these methods for kanun playing. In addition players who have the thought to prepare new educational material can make good use of this scientific work.
