Abstract (EN)

THE EFFECT OF POLYVINYL ALCOHOL (PVA) ON RHEOLOGICAL AND DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF KAOLINITE DISPERSION ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of polyvinyl alcohol on rheological and dielectric properties of kaolinite suspension. The viscosity values of prepared suspension have been measured and the dependence of viscosity on temperature and concentration was investigated. The specific viscosity and activation energy have been calculated by using the measured viscosity values and the results obtained are discussed. Dielectric constants in the temperature range from 0 °C to 15 °C of suspension prepared by using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), bidestileted water and kaolinite have been also measured and its dependence on concentration and temperature have been investigated.
