Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to investigate the effect of plant density on yield and yield components by traditional and double row sowing planting methods in dent corn in Bursa Karacabey conditions. The experiment was established according to split plots of randomized blocks design with three replications of 4 different plant densities (65000, 85000, 105000, 125000 plants / ha) and two different rows (70 cm and 25-45 cm). DKC 6630 was used as cultivar in the research. Measurements made in the experiment; plant height, first ear height in the plant, ear length, ear diameter, ear row number, row grain number, ear grain number, number of ears per plant, 1000 grain weight, hectoliter weight, harvest moisture, grain yield. As a result of the measurements, the highest grain yield was found by double row sowing method. In terms of plant density, 105000 plant / ha and 125000 plant / ha plant density gave the highest grain yield. Accordingly, 25-45 cm double-row planting and 105000 plants / ha or 125000 plants / ha with a higher yield than the traditional planting can be obtained.
