Abstract (EN)

This study aims to determine the mechanical properties of black pine wood, the effect of growth direction, the influence of alpha x chemical, and thermal treatment. The black pine (Pinus nigra) samples were obtained from the Kiçir Mountain depot in the Simav district of Kütahya. The samples were prepared for testing with dimensions of 30x20x20 mm. The samples were then impregnated with alpha x chemical and subjected to thermal treatment. Tests for compression, density, bending, and modulus of elasticity were conducted on the samples. As a result, it was found that black pines growing on the southern exposure had higher density and compression values, while the modulus of elasticity was lower compared to those on the northern exposure. Upon applying the impregnation treatment, both exposures showed a decrease in density and bending values, while compression values increased. When thermal treatment was applied to the impregnated black pines, an increase in bending and modulus of elasticity values was observed in both exposures, while compression values decreased.
