Evaluation of health services effectiveness of state hospitals in the Black Sea Region in 2018 by Data Enveloping Analysis management

Health care is one of the areas where high technology and human resources are intensive. The role of hospitals in the provision of health services is quite large. At this point, effective use of hospital resources and the identification of inactive ones to eliminate the waste of resources is extremely important in these days. In this study, efficiency analyses of state hospitals in the Black Sea Region were made. In this analysis the Data Envelopment Analysis method was used with 5 inputs and 6 outputs. The determined inputs and outputs were uploaded to the Win4Deap2 program and the efficiency of the hospitals was measured by evaluating the results. In the calculation involving 124 hospitals, a total of 72 hospitals were found to be effective and 52 hospitals were ineffective.
