Abstract (EN)

As a result of the globalization process, effects of which has been increasing day by day, competing has become one of the indispensable factors of existing and continuing operations in the market for both small scale companies and medium or large scale enterprises. Because, almost in all sectors, it is now required to be in rivalry not only with local competitors but also with global ones. Therefore, all decision makers in the market must not only evaluate such internal factors as their self policy, capacity, costs, but also analyze such external factors as policies of other decision makers in the market and environmental factors. In this respect, due to the necessity of analyzing competitor companies and the high number of variables required to be evaluated, decision makers now make the use of various scientific approaches in their decision making process. As a result, in management stages of companies, strategically thinking and management is now emphasized more important than classical management approaches. Therefore, as one of the methods developed through the strategically management approach, Game Theory is a strategic process investigating how and in which proportions companies should mix various strategies to get the highest benefit from their decision making process. Considering the relations among mutual expediency groups as a game and investigating which strategies must be utilized by these groups, the method has been acknowledged by larger circumferences day by day and also continues to be in progress. In this project, the concept of Game Theory has been analyzed in detail, the relation between Turkey and European Union, which has a history of nearly 50 years, has been investigated and which type of strategies could be performed by both sides has also been examined to denote how relations of mutual expediency groups can be established on the basis of a game. As a result, a different model is proposed to pave the way for future studies that can be done for the sake of this purpose. Key Words: 1)Game, 2)Game Theory, 3)Strategy, 4)Nash Equilibrium, 5)European Union
