Abstract (EN)
Located in the North of Elazig, the unit (area) selected for the study contains volcanic rocks of Neocene acidic era that form small three islands near Karataş hill close to the Elazig-Pertek ferry port and within the Keban Dam Lake. Geographically in disconformity with the medium basic composition of Neocene volcanic quite widespread in the Southwest of the study (surrounding the Toraman village) and in the North (around Pertek), these volcanic rocks outcrop in a narrow area to create a different morphology. In the study area, Cenomanion Elazig Magmatics, Middle Eocene-Late Oligocene Kırkgeçit Formation and Late Miocene-Pliocene Volcanic rocks outcrop. As a result of petrographic study carried out on the volcanics, it is determined that samples exhibiting significontly alteration have andezitic and dacitic compositions. The rate of porphyritic, plagioclase-sanidine phenocrystalline and phenocrystalline is quite high (%25-75). Amount of Hornblende and Biotite that make up the mafic mineral composition of these rocks exhibiting the texture of disproportional magma mixture is very low. According to all chemical analyzes of the rock samples (specimens) performed, the rate of SiO2 was found to be very close to each other and varied between (%62-65) . Geotechnical classification diagrams used showed that these vulcanite bearing calc-alcaline characteristics were formed as a result of partial melting of lithospheric mantle and lacked a significant inland - subduction zone effect. Based on the geochemical data, these volcanic were determined to be in conformity with Karabakır formation / Tunceli volcanic (volcanic between Çemişgezek and Pertek) located in the North of the region. Located in the pressured (compressed, squeezed vs.) region of Eastern Anatolia, this vulcanite acquired acidic characteristics thanks to the interaction of the basic magma with the lower mantle. It is estimated that the acidic solutions reach the surface via the fault-crack lines developed in the region and formed of gag/dome shape due to their physico-chemical properties.
