Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of the research is to examine the relationship between kinesthetic intelligence and social intelligence areas of karate athletes depending on various variables. For this purpose, the universe of the research consists of athletes interested in karate in Turkey, while the sample group consists of 600 active licensed karate athletes who are interested in karate sports throughout Turkey. In this study, which was carried out in relational screening model, a total of three forms were directed to the participants. The first of the forms transmitted through the Google Form database is the "Personal Information Form". The other two are "Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence Fields Evaluation Scale" and "Interpersonal/Social Intelligence Fields Evaluation Scale", which are sub-scales of the scale named "Multiple Intelligence Fields Evaluation Scale", the reliability and validity studies of which were conducted by the same researcher and which provides the opportunity to evaluate multiple intelligence domains separately. (Gulsen, 2015). The raw data collected through these scales were tested with the SPSS package program. As a result of the research; There was no difference in terms of gender, parents' attitudes towards sports, the presence of an athlete in the family, and the educational status of the father. It has been concluded that there is a significant difference in both kinesthetic intelligence and social intelligence areas depending on the variables of age, education status, sports age, karate belt level, black belt level, competition category and nationality. On the other hand, a significant difference was found only in the field of kinesthetic intelligence depending on the variable of residence and social intelligence depending on the mother's educational status. As a result; It was found that there is a positive relationship between the kinesthetic intelligence and social intelligence areas of karate players.
