Landslides on road network of the general directorate of highways 11. region and an application

Highway organization develops road network in line with the growth strategy of our country. In this context, the projects prepared and made applications brings with it many problems, especially in the Blach Sea and Eastern Anatolia regions. To put into practice the high standart roads in these regions pins down studying very well geotechnical conditions. Landslides occurred road building stage or later bring great burden to the national economy. They also threaten seriously in the transportation and traffic safety. In this thesis, all kinds of existing or potential landslide in road network of Highways organization 11. Region were investigated (the number, moving soil type, type of movement, causes, water availability, etc); distribution according to provinces in the region and differences in types of landslides according to topographic and geological structure of the provinces have been identified. The aim of this study is to give information about landslides that may be encountered in new or existing roads and contribute to the reduction of losses. At the end of the study, performing stability analysis a landslide report suggesting different solutions about a landslide area in the 11. Region is submitted.
