Abstract (EN)

Rats in in vivo experimental study have been divided into six groups including eight in each. All groups by giving 0.4 mL/kg CCl4 + 0.4 mL/kg liquid oil every other day during twenty days except sham and 100 mg/kg royal jelly group, intoxicity had made. While CCl4 group that had been made intoxicity had not received any treatments, other three groups had received respectively 50, 100, 200 mg/kg RJ. The rates of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), catalase (CAT) in erythrocyte and bioelement in blood serum have been analyzed at the end of the study. On these findings while CCl4 intoxication causes SOD (p<0.001), GPx (p<0.001) and CAT (p<0.01) activities to reduce the groups which have been treated by RJ showed increase in the enzyme activities. CCl4 also caused changes the levels of serum mineral substances. In the levels of Zn and K in the group of toxication according to the sham group and also in the level of K in the group of treatment according to the sham and 100 mg/kg RJ there has observed an increase. In the level of Be and Ga in the group of CCl4 + 100 mg/kg RJ has been observed an increase according to sham and 100 mg/kg RJ. In the level of Ca and Sr except for CCl4 + 100 mg/kg RJ there has observed a decrease in the treatment groups when compared with the toxication groups. As a result of; CCl4 intoxication caused decrease in the antioxidant enzyme level RJ teraphy increased antioxidant enzyme activation. RJ also repaired some destroyed mineral level. RJ is thought to be useful in the treatment of liver.
