Abstract (EN)

One of the most important decisions in a person's life is undoubtedly career choice, and it completely affects the life of the individual. For this choice, which has an important role in determining the lifestyle, the individual must make the right and accurate decision. Otherwise, the individual will be unhappy, inefficient and reluctant in his job due to the wrong choice he makes. Therefore, when choosing a career, the one that best suits your personality should be preferred. Because choosing a career that suits one's personality will allow the person to live a happy and successful life in business and social life. For this reason, in our study, the relationship between university students' career decision-making competence expectation and five factor personality was examined. This study was applied to 410 senior students studying at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences by face-to-face survey method, and the data of 387 students were discussed. The survey, administered face-to-face, consists of 3 parts. The first part consists of demographic characteristics, the second part consists of the career decision-making competency scale, and the third part consists of five factor personality traits. The data obtained from the research were evaluated using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 28 (SPSS) program. In the study, the relationship between demographic characteristics and career decision-making competence and the relationships between five factor personality traits and career decision-making competence were examined. In order to determine the differentiation between variables, t-test was used in comparisons between two groups, One Way ANOVA was used in comparisons where the number of groups was larger, and Post-Hoc tests were used to determine the difference between groups. Additionally, Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between the scales.
