Determination of different stand types the amount of carbon in soil in the Kastamonu Forest Management

In this study was determining the amounth of carbon in black pine and oak stands at Kastamonu Regional Directorate of Forestry, Kastamonu Forestv Management Directorate, forest management units Kastamonu area. As a result of the study, the average amount of carbon in the top layer (0-10cm) was %35.43 tons / ha in oak stand and %35.41 tons / ha in black pine. The average amount of carbon in the buttom layer (10-20cm) was %40,85 tons / ha in oak stand and %41,79 tons / ha in black pine. It was determined that there was no significant difference in the amount of carbon between oak and black pine stands in the statistical evaluation.
