Abstract (EN)

This thesis investigates the thermoluminescence (TL) properties of lanthanum borate (LaBO3) and LaBO3: xEu (x=0.25,-0.50,-1,-2,-3,-4%, and5 mass%) phosphor synthesized by a solid state method and as well as conducts research on novel luminescent materials with good dosimetric characteristics. LaBO3 phosphor crystallization was assessed via XRD measurements for the purpose of determining whether crystallization occurred. In order to investigate the luminescence properties of these synthesized phosphors, the TL method was employed. Different filter combinations were used to analyze glow curves of LaBO3 and Eu doped LaBO3 phosphors under 5 Gy beta radiation dose, and the best filters were determined. Optimal mass concentration for Eu doped LaBO3 is 0.5% Eu. Calculation of trap parameters of these phosphors was conducted using dose-response experiments, various heating rates, the initial rise method, and computerized glow curve deconvolution. The synthesized material was also tested for reusability and fading to investigate its dosimetric potential.
