Abstract (EN)

In this study, the mediating role of rumination in the relationship between anxiety and psychological well-being was investigated. The aim of this study is to measure the role of ruminative thoughts in the relationship between psychological well-being and anxiety. Although there are separate studies in different areas related to these issues in the literature, there is no study examining the relationship between these three existing variables. Therefore, it is thought that the present study will be productive and contribute to the literature. Demographic Information Form, Beck Anxiety Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale and Ruminative Thought Scale were applied to 385 volunteers who participated in the study. Pearson correlation, mediator role analysis with Hayes Process Macro, ANOVA, independent groups t-test were used in the analysis of the data in this study, in which the relational screening model was applied. Post hoc tests were used for pairwise comparison of the significant scores in the ANOVA analysis. In addition, According to the results obtained from the research, while there was a significant relationship between anxiety, psychological well-being and rumination variables, it was concluded that rumination had a partial mediator role in the effect of anxiety on psychological well-being. In addition, in this study, anxiety (X) was the independent variable, psychological well-being (Y) was the dependent variable, and rumination (M) was the mediator variable. Results were discussed with the studies in literatüre.
