Abstract (EN)
In order to achieve competitive advantage, firm's strategic resources have to be valuable, rare and imitable. In this study, in the scope of resource-based view (RBV), the effects of characteristics of tangible, intangible resources and organizational capabilities, which are valuable, rare and imitable (or costly to imitate), to firm's performance is investigated by using the VRIO framework. The data collected from 141 senior managers from the members of TAYSAD (Association of Automotive Parts & Components Manufacturers) companies and the Marmara and the Again regions' local companies in automotive industry. The data is tested by trustworthy test and structural equation model test. In the end, it is observed that the firms' tangible & intangible resources and organizational capabilities have positive effects on firm's performance, as well as no effects in some extent, when considering the valuable, rare and imitable (or costly to imitate) characteristics.
