The poet of the Kazan Khanate Möhemmedyar and his work Tuhfe-i Merdan -review, text, transmission, index-

Although Möhemmedyar was one of the most important poets of the Kazan Khanate period, he has not yet been researched in Turkey until this time. Tuhfe-i Merdan, which is wrote in Kazan dialect of Chagatai by Möhemmedyar, has been given in Latin letters and this work has been translated to Turkish in this thesis. It has been seen that the general vocabulary of the text is Chagatai language, but there are also many elements of Kazan dialect in the text. In addition to the features of the Chagatai written language, there are local features and dialectical elements in the work. For example, the appearance of the suffix -uv as a noun-verb suffix, case suffixes of third person pronoun (anı, anga, anda, anıng), some Arabic words (like acayib and alamet) written with gayin letters are some of them. Pronoun n which is not used after third person possessive suffixes in Chagatai language, appears in this text in two ways. In this text, the pronoun n is mostly used, but sometimes not. In addition , there is no y-j dilemma in today's Kazan dialect in the text.
