Abstract (EN)

With the developing technology, the biological ecosystems of living things are also changing. Accordingly, the habitats where living creatures live are also negatively affected. Different species of creatures coming from different continents or different ecosystems threaten the habitat of the native species and may cause competition. The purpose of this study: Species identification and genetic diversity were determined by analyzing the mtDNA Cyt b and D loop gene region for the C.auratus population living in the Keban Dam Lake of Elazığ province. In this study, DNA isolations of a total of 20 individuals of this species purchased from fishermen were made with the help of a kit, and sequence analyzes were carried out by studying the Cyt b and D loop regions of mitochondrial DNA. As a result of these analyses, it was determined that the population of 20 individuals did not show any variation and had the same genetic characteristics. This increasing number of species causes the number of native species, which are under pressure due to problems such as habitat loss and overfishing, to decrease further. In order to prevent this negative situation, it is necessary to combat this fish species in order to ensure the sustainability of local and natural species by removing them from the environment before their breeding period.
