The concept of waswasah i̇n kalam

In this study, the effects of wassawah, which means that the nafs, jinn and devil inculcate ‎evil and bad things into the hearts of people and throw thoughts that are not beneficial to ‎the mind and heart, are discussed in the field of faith. In our research, qualitative research ‎method was used and firstly, the definition of the concept of vesvese was made and then ‎the subject of vesvese was touched upon in terms of Islamic sciences. Then, the similar ‎aspects of the concepts of vesvese and religious obsession, which is a psychological ‎disorder in the science of psychology, were discussed, and it was emphasised that the ‎vesvese coming to the heart at the religious point causes a sense of sinfulness and guilt in ‎human beings and causes intense anxiety in human beings. ‎ In our study, although there are scholars who declare the opposite opinion, as ‎stated by the majority of Islamic scholars, the devils can also attempt to inspire the ‎prophets. However, due to the prophets' attribute of ismat, Allah has nullified the devils' ‎mischief and protected His prophets from committing sins. Another issue that we have ‎touched upon in our study is that the pious and sincere servants of Allah, known as the ‎guardians of Allah, may also be subjected to the devils' mischief. At this point, although ‎there are scholars who are of the opinion that these righteous servants cannot be ‎influenced by the devils, the majority of scholars are of the opinion that the devil can also ‎give mischief to the guardians. Although they do not have the attribute of ismaam like the ‎prophets, they are less affected by the devils' mischief because of their taqwa (piety) and ‎ijtihad (good deeds). ‎ Allah Almighty created the devils, who are the source of mischief, not to harm ‎people, but for many wisdoms that will benefit people, such as knowing evil and good, ‎identifying sincere servants, dispelling heedlessness, taking refuge in Allah by righteous ‎people, and contemplating the universe, according to the principle that everything is ‎known by its opposite. Allah has also given man the will to obey or not to obey these ‎inclinations. In other words, man can abuse his will and sin by being subject to these ‎inclinations, or he can not follow these inclinations and do good deeds by being subject to ‎Allah. At this point, Satan has no power and might to force man to sin. He can only ‎inculcate evils in the form of incitement. As long as these suggestions are not ‎implemented and applied to life, they will not harm man. ‎ Although Satan has many mischiefs at the point of faith, one of the most important ‎of these is his mischiefs about belief in Allah. Satan wants to shake man's belief in Allah ‎with some mischiefs such as 'Does Allah exist or not?', 'Who created Allah?', 'Why can't ‎I see Allah?', 'Can Allah create a stone that He cannot lift?' and his belief in the ‎Hereafter with mischiefs about the existence of the Hereafter. In order to be protected ‎from these mischiefs; first of all, one should seek refuge in Allah with the awareness that ‎these mischiefs come from the nafs and Satan. The Holy Qur'an should be read with ‎contemplation and Allah should be engaged in remembrance. The traps and suggestions of ‎the devil should be known with the maxim that if the trap is known, it will be ineffective, ‎and the opposite should be done. Finally, if the incoming visions are very intense and ‎extremely busy, that is, if they have reached the level of psychological illness, support ‎from psychologists should also be sought. ‎
