A research on Kemal Ateş's stories and novels

In this master's thesis inspected titled "A Research On Kemal Ateş's Stories And Novels", Ateş published three short story books consisting of five novels and twenty-six stories. In addition to the novels and plays of Kemal Ates, he has essays, articles, radio plays and sketches. It is a necessity to examine the works of a writer like Kemal Ateş from a scientific point of view. Therefore, in this study, the novels of the author (Toprak Kovgunları, Yitik Kuzular, Bir Başka Şehir, Veresiye Defteri, Neşter ve Madalya) and story books (Çürük Kapı, Bir Şarkıyı Dinlerken, Küskün Fotoğraflar) were examined separately in terms of structure and content. This study consists of two main sections beside the introduction. In the introduction part, information about Kemal Ates' life, works and literary personality is given. In the first chapter, Kemal Ateş' stories are introduced and the theme and subjects, narrator and point of view, people, space and time are examined. In the second part, the novels of the author are examined separately in terms of plot, theme, people, point of view, time and space. In the third chapter, the works are examined in terms of expression techniques. In the final chapter, there is language andwording section. Then the results section is given. In his novels, Kemal Ateş, who touches on the inner world of people living in slums, has presented his works to the readers as the original storyteller of small worlds.
