Abstract (EN)

Today, depending on population growth and developing technology, become to necessity weak soils. This situation can be achieved by improving weak soils. In this thesis, the reinforcement of weak soils has been researched with cannabis-based and polypropylene-based woven geotextiles. For this purpose, unconsolidated undrained triaxial compression test (UU), California bearing ratio (CBR) tests and numerical analysis the help of Plaxis 2D program has been carried out on clay soil reinforced with by using polypropylene-based woven geotextile and hemp-based woven geotextile in various arrays. As a result of experimental studies, 3-layer hemp-based woven geotextile additive and 3-layer Polypropylene-based woven geotextile additive increased the soil resistance up to 50% compared to the unreinforced sample. When the California bearing ratio values were compared, it was observed that geotextile reinforcement to the H/3 and 2H/3 layers was the most advantageous arrangement among both geotextile types according to the CBR value of the unreinforced soil specimen. In line with experimental study and numerical analysis data, it has been observed that the cannabis-based woven geotextile, a natural and green product, has reached the strength to compete with the equivalent geotechnical products.
