Investigetion of land use and transportation interaction in urban transportation planning: The case of Isparta city

In the elimination of transportation problems that arise in rapidly developing urban settlements; It is necessary to examine the land use that shapes the transportation planning, and to determine different scale criteria such as site selections and development areas that make up the land use decisions. In the study, the land use in the city and the transportation network it created were examined through the example of Isparta city center and an answer was sought for the current transportation problems. In the introduction part of the study, which consists of 4 parts, the reason for choosing the subject, the purpose and scope of the study are discussed. In the second part, the connection between land use decisions and transportation planning has been examined and the main topics that make up the scope of the study have been shaped. In the third section; land use in the city of Isparta, which is taken as an example; settlement areas, development areas, education and work areas, social and cultural areas were analyzed under different headings, and how they shaped the transportation network and their accessibility were interpreted. In the third chapter; the transportation problems caused by the current situation analyzed are revealed, and in the fourth chapter, which is the conclusion and recommendations section, suggestions for eliminating these problems are presented.
