Abstract (EN)
Energy is a vital issue that means development, prosperity and quality of life for a country. Every creature needs energy to survive. They need energy to run their assets in their communities, to operate their facilities, factories and machines. In parallel with the population increase, urbanization, industrialization and the spread of technology in the world, energy consumption is continuously increasing. Along with increased energy demand, fossil fuels are rapidly depleting. By the 2050s, it is assumed that oil will come to the extinction point. The natural gas will be consumed in 2070, and the life of the locust is until 2150. However, the use of fossil fuels has brought negative effects to the environment. As a result, demand for renewable energy sources has increased. Renewable energy sources are clean energy sources that do not pollute the environment. In this thesis, it was investigated how the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) systems, which convert solar energy from renewable energy sources into electrical energy, is affected by dirt and dust. The angle at which the four panels are installed horizontally is set to 0 ° and the angle at which the others are installed horizontally is set to 30 °. In every quadruple group, one of the panels was never cleaned, one was cleaned every day, one was cleaned every week, and one was cleaned every month. In this research made in Elazığ province, open circuit voltage, short circuit current were measured and power were calculated every day for 6 months. The effects of the cleaning period on PV panel's power were investigated. It was tried to determine the ideal panel angle and cleaning period as final.
