Pruning affects carbohydrate accumulation and fruit bud formation in cherries

Considering the values, carbonhydrate aggregation in 0900 Ziraat cherry cultivar wasdetermined too much in 5 years old trees than in 3 and 4 years old ones. The highest CH/ N ratio wasfound in Sweetheart with % 9,264. Summit followed it with % 8,130. Lapins was % 5,046 and thelowest ratio % 3,80 was in 0900 Ziraat.In Summit, forming of fruit bud bound to the physiological reasons and fruit attitude wererealized extremely low. At the end of this research, shortening of the youth sterility terms of cherrytrees and to break up juvenility, necessity of short cutting practices appeared.Key Words: Cherries, Puruning, CH/N ratio.II
