The Journey of Moses and his Companion in the literature of Classical and Modern Tafsîr. The Qur'anic parable we have studied is about Hz. Moses and his travelling companion described in verses 60-82 of Surah al-Kahf. Some information is given in the parable, some information is left closed. The parable is about the Prophet Moses and his companion and the events they experienced during their journey. In the verses following the parable, the wisdom of these events is explained. This parable has been subjected to different interpretations of the commentators because of its ambiguity and the miraculous events that took place. In addition, Sufis have shown these events mentioned in the verses as evidence for their principles. Our study consists of three parts. In the first part, we gave general information about Surah al-Kahf and the parable, and mentioned the people who are mentioned and referred to here. Then we discussed the claims of orientalists about this parable. In the second part, we titled the events in the parable according to the flow of verses in the Qur'an and included the interpretations of classical schools of tafsir. In the third part, we tried to determine how the parable was interpreted by contemporary commentators. At the end of each chapter, the related commentaries are compared and the differences are explained.
