Abstract (EN)
With this thesis, improvement of a split air conditioner's outdoor unit heat exchanger manifold design is studied. The aim of the improvement is designing a new manifold that uses less material and performing same capacity with existing design. Test samples are produced according to new design. Split air conditioners that have existing design and new optimised design are tested according to TS14511 standard. Cooling and heating capacity tests are done and compared. With an analytic model and statistic tools, test results are validated.
