Synthesis, characterization, determination of protonation constants and investigation of biological activities of hydrazone compounds containing choloroacetil group

Abstract (EN)

In the first stage of this work which was planned in three stages, seventeen hydrazone compounds containing choloroacetil group were synthesized and characterized. In the characterization, spectral techniques such as IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR were used.In the second stage of this study, protonation constants of the synthesized compounds were determined by potentiometric titration method in %60 dioxane-%40 water media at 25 ± 0.1oC under nitrogen atmosphere and at ionic strength of 0.1 M sodium perchlorate. It has been observed that the compounds titrated in this work have not protoned.In the third stage of the study, the biological activities of the synthesized compounds were investigated by screening against gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Among the tested compounds, the most effective ones were found to be 2-chloro-N'-(4-fluorobenzylidene)-N-(4-(3-methyl-3-phenylcyclobutyl)thiazol-2-yl)acetohydrazide aga-inst E.coli. N'-(4-bromobenzylidene)-2-chloro-N-(4-(3-methyl-3-phenylcyclobutyl)thi-azol-2-yl)acetohydrazide, 2-chloro-N-(4-(3-methyl-3-phenylcyclobutyl)thiazol-2-yl)-N'-(2-nitrobenzylidene)acetohydrazide and 2-chloro-N-(4-(3-methyl-3-phenylcyclobutyl)thiazol-2-yl)-N'-(3-nitrobenzylidene)acetohydrazide against P.Aeroginosa. 2-chloro-N-(4-(3-met-hyl-3-phenylcyclobutyl)thiazol-2-yl)-N'-(2-nitrobenzylidene)acetohydrazide against E.Fa-ecalis.
