Abstract (EN)
Colloids have many applications in technology and industry, but they also play an important role scientifically. For example, with the light microscope, micrometer-sized spherical colloid particles can be associated with atomic systems that make up matter and can be used as a model system to study basic problems in statistical mechanics such as the phase transition mechanism. The structure of colloidal systems are similar to atomic stuctures, and the positions of the colloid particles can be measured with great precision thanks to the light microscope. Thus, simultaneous local and dynamic measurements that are not technologically possible in atomic systems can be carried out simultaneously using colloid particles and light microscopy, and new findings in colloid systems can shed light on unanswered questions in atomic systems. The interactions between colloid particles in liquid are not fully understood, although they have been studied for more than a century. Colloid particles usually exist in a complex environment with solvent molecules, molecular-scale ions and other charged surfaces. All of these must be considered before examining the dynamics of colloid particles. Interactions between these components include; the extremely strong repulsion, van der Waals interaction, macro ions (colloid spheres), ions in water, Coulomb interactions among hydrodynamic crosslinking agents. In this study, digital video microscope method and liquid structure theory were used to measure the potential energies of double interaction between particles in colloid suspensions prepared using the selected polymers Poly (N-isopropylacrylamide (PNIPAAm). By controlling the sensitivity and size of the synthesized colloid particles to heat, the interactions of the synthesized colloid particles in restricted geometries and under different temperatures were observed simultaneously and its physical properties were measured. As a result of the study, the data obtained by the video microscope method were brought together with the help of the image processing program and the pair interaction potential energies of the colloid particles were directly calculated.
