Abstract (EN)
Scientific developments accuring with the accumulation of knowledge have triggered technological innovations. Developments in the field of science and technology have caused industrial revolutions. Since the 1750s, to 21.century there have been three industrial revolutions and each has had economic, social and political effects. It is fore seen that the effects of the fourth industrial revolution will have a higher impact in the economic, social and political context. Industry 4.0 is the intersection point of different disciplines such as internet, digitalization, autonomous systems, robotic technologies, artificial intelligence, engineering, software and emerging quantum technologies. The Industry 4.0 revolution has affected all economic and social relations in the tourism sector as it did in other sectors. The purpose of this research is to measure the level of Industry 4.0 awareness and knowledge of individuals working in 3, 4 ve 5 star accommodation businesses operating in Gaziantep. In addition, the level of use of Industry 4.0 components in hospitality management is investigated. The data were obtained from 293 hotel employees with the survey method in February and March 2020. The data were analyzed in statistics package program. By making exploratory factor analysis, it was concluded that he awarenesss caleconsists of 4 sub-dimensions. Then, independent sample t test and one-wayanalysis of variance were conducted to investigate whether there was a significant difference between the awareness and knowledge level of the demographic characteristics of the participants. Correlation and regression analyzes were conducted to investigate the effects and direction of awareness on the level of knowledge. As a result of the analyzes, it was found that the level of Industry 4.0 general awareness of the participant was "medium" and Industry 4.0 knowledge level of the participants was "low" and that the level of use of the Industry 4.0 components in the hotel enterprises was "very low". In addition, as a result of the correlation and regression analysis, it was concluded that there is a positive relationship between Industry 4.0 knowledge level and Industry 4.0 awareness level and Industry 4.0 knowledge level explains 17.3 % of Industry 4.0 awareness level.
