Choir music language-use and importance

Subject of this research is the language in choir music by means of using. The purpose of intention is to determinate the importance of language of choir music as a composition and as an interpretation. It is an experimental study based of the choir conductor`s praxis with different experience and different attitude to the importance of language use. This study is a descriptive study of literature, of interviews with testing of connections choir conductor ? composer ? choir members - musicians ? listeners. Interviews were taking through selected groups from Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts, Music Education; Hacettepe University State Conservatory, Ankara University State Conservatory, Ministry of Culture, TRT (Television and Radio in Turkey), Polyphonic Choir Association in Turkey and participations on Choir festival in Ankara. Results of this research in field of choir music, composition, rehearsal and choir conducting considered of use of the language are important for work in the praxis.Keywords: choir, music language, articulation, diction, word, sentence, musical phrase.
