Abstract (EN)

Chronic kidney disease has the impact on the large part of the population and causes serious complications as it progresses over time. Since there is no clinically known treatment for this pathology, preventing or slowing its progression is the main treatment approach. With a view to target the progression of the disease in treatment, it is necessary to clarify the factors affecting the progression. Beside seasonal differences, the factors that may have an effect on the progression process are the main research topics of our study. Our study sample includes 287 patients with a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. With these patients biochemical blood parameters such as predicted glomerular filtration rates, creatinine, urea, electrolytes; The biochemical parameters studied from urine samples and blood pressure measurement values were examined. In our analyzes, no difference was found between the seasons in terms of glomerular filtration rate, urea, creatinine, sodium, uric acid, systole and diastole values (p>0,05). There was no difference between seasons in the urine parameters measured with a small sample (p>0.05). The potassium value of the patients in the autumn season is higher than in the spring season (p=0.018). Calcium value is higher in winter, spring and autumn according to summer (respectively p values <0.001; <0.001; 0.021). Phosphorus value is also higher in summer than in winter (p=0,008). The mean glomerular filtration rate of the patients decreased at the end of follow-up period (p<0.001). Glomerular filtration rate change did not differ with gender; presence of comorbidity; use of beta-blockers, alpha-blockers, diuretics and allopurinol (p>0.05). The glomerular filtration rate decreases more slowly in those older than 60 years of age, calcium channel blocker users and non-user of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (respectively p values 0,017; 0,045; 0,032). As a result, glomerular filtration rate did not show seasonal variation in the follow-up of chronic kidney patients. Usage of calcium channel blockers and age affect disease progression.
