Abstract (EN)
The aim of the research is to establish; the migrated women?s opinions about the previous and the following period of the migration from rural area to the urban side, the reasons of migration, their contentment level and the problems which they faced in urban life after migration. The area of research consists of women who live in İstanbul, Ümraniye the administrative district. The models are the women who have 280 students at Ahmet Yavuz Primary School. The research was collected from quastionares which were prepared by migrated women. Also, the interviewes were made by face to face, related to the questionnaires. The datums which were obtained from them where analysed with the packet program of SPSS for Windows, version 11.0. After the results of the analyse, the findings were compared with independent variables and were interpreted.Most of the women had no difficulties in the process of becoming urbanized. For example, they gave up constant thoughts about dressing, hair care and make up. They had no difficulties, solving the problems of health and education. Even it was established that they developed in these conditions and conformited to urban areas. By the results of this research, suggestions about behaviours before and after the migration of women from rural to urban areas were determined.
