Analyze of work accidents in small scale furniture industrial enterprises: A case study of Adana

With the advancement of technology, the number of employment is increasing in production sectors and consequently, it is desired to realize the product or service by consuming maximum labor in minimum time in working environments. In case of intensive work to increase the amount of production to be generated per unit time, the amount of fatigue of the employees increases, causing carelessness and pursuit work accidents. In this study, it is aimed to determine the occupational accidents of employees in small-scale furniture industry enterprises operating in Adana province. For this purpose, 550 employees working in 61 different enterprises in Adana have formed the universe of the enterprise. Face to face interviews were conducted with 238 employees in 42 workplaces. In the results of working lived work accident 238 person inside %25,2. In order to prevent occupational accidents, first of all, internal customers should be educated, occupational safety precautions should be taken, working conditions should be optimized, employees should be motivated, monotonization of working conditions should therefore be prevented from being distracted. Risk analysis should be carried out within the enterprise to identify the causes of work accidents and to take preventive measures. In this way, possible accidents should be prevented.
