Abstract (EN)

Electronic trade is one of the new concepts of technology and information age. With the Proliferation of internet, electronic trade entered into a faster process of development. As the internet became a part of our lives, electronic trade gained importance. Accordingly there have been investments on internet structure ad qualified work force, such investments of businesses revealed a new term called 'internet economics' and it reached a significant market share. In our digital world, the existence of businesses depends on a fast adopt to this new concept. High numbers in digital economy confirms that. The aim of this study is to determine the rate and aim of electronic trade among SMEs in. With this study the marginal benefits supplied by SMEs and the difficulties they faced are also revealed. This study consists three main parts. In the first part Electronic trade concept are explained. In the second part main features of electronic trade, advantages and disadvantages of it for businesses and importance of electronic trade in the world and Turkey are explained. Finally, in the last part surveys and their results are included to show and search the use of electronic trade by small and medium sized businesses in the border of Elazig.
