Abstract (EN)
The concept of nomadism is a concept that requires living in harmony with nature in order to survive and survive in areas where natural life is effective. From this perspective, the economic activities of the nomads, sheltering, nutrition, clothing and cultures are always in harmony with nature. In this study, the geographic features of the Karahacılı yörüks living in Serik district of Antalya were evaluated in terms of cultural geography Though Nomads that were part of this study are rarely nomadic, they are generally settled and farming became their main economical activity. Serik, which forms the research area, is located to the east of the Antalya section of the Mediterranean Region. It is a filling plain in terms of landforms. The fertile soils in Serik have directed the Karahacılı Nomads to settle in this area and then to agricultural activities in addition to farming. Karahacılılar, who migrated due to the settlement activities in Adana-Mersin Region and due to their understanding of independence, first settled in the Köprüçay River which is located in the east of Serik. This is because they have provided the water and the sheltered area necessary for their animals. Over time, the Köprüçay River waters were taken under control and agricultural activities in the region started. In this study, the arrival of Karahacılı Yörüks in Serik, the activities that have continued until today and their present situation are discussed in the perspective of cultural geography. By conducting a qualitative research, a part of oral nomad culture was written. In addition to the literature review, face-to-face interviews and information were recorded with the help of voice recorders. In this way, a resource about Karahacılı Yörükleri was tried to be created.
