Abstract (EN)
Technological developments in recent years have also spread in the field of cultural heritage documentation and have led to new methods and techniques. These innovations have also influenced archeological heritage documentation methods and consequently alternative tools and techniques have started to be used. In addition to methods like topography, terrestrial laser scanning, remote sensing and photogrammetry, UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) Drones has great interest in last years and have been included in archaeological sites documentation process. Several methods have been used for documentation of archaeological sites in the past and today. However when studies have been examined carefully, neither traditional nor modern techniques seems enough by itself. Complete documentation has always requires the combination of different methods. The purpose of this study is to develop a methodology for a complete documentation of archaeological sites by combining two different methods; TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanning) and Drone Photogrammetry. In the context of this study, two different data – terrestrial and aerial- will be combined in order to get a complete documentation for archaeological sites. In the project mainly two different methods will be used; TLS and UAV Drone Photogrammetry. After the definition of the case study, TLS method will be applied. The results of TLS point clouds will be aligned and cleaned. Later, the study area will be prepared for scheduled flight. Then the quality of obtained data will be checked, processed and will be combined with data obtained from TLS. The final results will be presented as 3D models, surface models and orthophotos.
