Abstract (EN)

To figure out the sort of communication between Albanian community living in Eskişehir as one of subcultural groups and dominant culture in the context of intercultural communication set the framework of this academical study. However in this study where the intercultural communication is defined, it is also mentioned that the other disciplines which support intercultural communication. In addition some prominent concepts and processes in intercultural communication is studied; fundemental components of these concepts and processes are explained. Also various approaches and theories regarding intercultural communication are dicussed in the scope of heading of literature. Moreover outstanding informations of historical background regarding research question of this study are included in this study. In this study where qualitative analysis are being used, in- depth interviews were made with 20 individuals who were choosen depending on snawball sampling method. However donees obtained from in-depth interviews were evaluated regarding intercultural communication disciplines. To sum up it has been revealed that Albanian culture has been losing it's power against dominant culture and been deceiving it's characteristic features during the period. On the other side it has been observed that some participants of in-depth interview, were in an susceptibility of protect their culturel identity.
