Abstract (EN)

In Kumarlar (Çanakkale/Çan) Pb-Zn-Cu±Au deposit, Eocene aged Çamyayla volcanites cover the entire study area. These volcanites originated from a basic magma and the source of mineralization is Tertiary aged granitoid intrusions. Hydrothermal fluids coming from acidic and neutral intrusions were deposited where they came out of the fracture and crack structures formed after the positioning of andesites and tuffs. Low sulfidation epithermal type mineralization occurs. Galenite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and pyrite are observed as ore minerals, while quartz, calcite, adularia and barite are observed as gangue minerals. From the fluid inclusion studies, inclusions both quartz and sphalerite minerals have a temperature ranges between 210-271°C and 190-273°C respectively. The salinity ratios of quartz minerals and sphalerite minerals are between 0.8-4.9% NaCl and 0.8-6.7% NaCl, respectively. The determined of the co-existing inclusions (aqueous and vapor rich) and blade-like structures indicates that boiling occurred in the Kumarlar lead-zinc deposit. As a result of isotope geochemistry analyses, the sulfur δ34S value was measured as -3.8‰ in the sphalerite sample and -5.9‰ in the galenite sample, indicating that the sulfur contained in the sulfide minerals in the mineralization is of magmatic origin. LA/ICP/MS analyses of liquid inclusion sections representing the mineralizations indicate that Pb-Zn-Cu concentrations are extremely high in the ore-forming solutions.
