Parenthetical sentence in the rhetoric of Qur'ân

In this study, the parenthetical sentence of the Arabic in the area of Belâgat has been examined. Parenthetical sentence takes place in the itnâb art which is related to the field of meânî. The parenthetical sentence means a sentence which come between a sentence or two sentences that are integrated in order to eliminate misunderstanding and to express an aphorism. Parenthetical sentence has no place of expression. In this study, the definition and history of the science of rhetoric have been dwelled on. Then, the some information about the elements of the rethoric such as beyân, meânî and bedi' has been stated. After taking the itnâb and its parts as a part of the sentence, the parenthetical sentence which is the main subject of the study has been examined. The topics such as the relationship of the parenthetical sentence with other sentences, the purposes of the parenthetical sentences, the letters given at the beginning of the sentence and the places where they are used have been discussed. The Qur'an and poems were used in relation to these subjects. The meanings of the sentence in terms of the Qur'an have been mentioned. As a result, it is supported with examples given that the intermediate sentence has a great effect on meaning.
