Types of liquids mentioned in the Qur'an

The Holy Quran, revealed to the last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is a guide for humanity, a source of prayer, remembrance, and remembrance, a foundation of law, an instrument of contemplation, a measure of morality and worship, a map of the journey between this world and the hereafter, a divine book that translates the language of all creatures, seen and unseen, leaving all its peers powerless. This study aims to examine verses in the Quran that address the concept of "liquid." The concept of "liquid," which appears in over one hundred and ninety verses, was examined, seeking answers to the questions of what the intended message of these verses is and how it should be understood. Liquid and its contents were evaluated holistically in the Quran. In the verses examined, the concept of "liquid" sometimes appears as a main theme and sometimes as a supporting element; however, when examining the verse as a whole, various topics covered by the term "liquid" are also addressed. The thematic classification of the different meanings of the concept of 'liquid' in the Qur'an has made this study an example that contributes to the field in terms of methodology. The study does not rely solely on classical exegetical sources from earlier periods, but also incorporates hadiths and scientific evaluations, thereby attempting to address the subject comprehensively with contributions from different disciplines. The differences between mythological views and the unique perspective of the Qur'an have been emphasised. Approaching the integrity of the Qur'an through a fundamental concept such as 'liquids' differs from the classical approach. In terms of the methodological technique of the study, first, 'content analysis' was used to classify the context in which the verses were used. Secondly, through thematic analysis, the meanings attributed to the concept of 'water' were examined, revealing that water carries meanings such as creation, life-giving, destructive, purifying, punitive, warning, and heralding. Thirdly, both classical (ancient) and contemporary exegetes' sources were consulted. In addition, the assessments of scientists were examined comparatively. There are many mythological theories about the first elements created. The Qur'an states that Allah created the Throne upon water. This water was such that it enabled every created being to appear and take shape.
