The issue of chronological approach to the commentary of Quran

One of the aims is to research studies about Quran that are based upon chronological approach in Islamic and Western world. In this way, we understand these studies' targets. This dissertation consists of two main chapters. In the first chapter, we deal with companions', Muslims' and orientalists' approach to the revelation arrangement, process of Mushaf's arrangement, studies about the Order of Nuzul in Islamic and Western world in twentieth and twenty first centuries. In the second chapter, we examine how chronological approach to the surahs has been in early Islamic studies. Examples of chronological tafsirs are analyzed.
