Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the relationship between the international climate change regime and the concept of hegemony has been examined. The chief obstacle to establish and maintain a comprehensive, fair and effective regime which is essential to reduce the effects of climate change on the earth and thereby on the humanity, is lack of a hegemonic actor. In this thesis, this hypothesis is tested by studying the climate change negotiations, the theories of hegemony and the relationship between the two.
