The research for the oppurtunities of global positioning system (GPS) usage in mining

Nowadays, rapid development in technology has created new applications in mining industry. Particularly, mining system that provide increasing effective capacity, improved techniques and high utilization of machine-equipment affects to positive ways for overall costs. In this purpose, developed countries in mining such as USA, Canada, Australia had begun to use GPS technology last few decade widely and utilization area of GPS has improved in a increasing trend. To provide performed optimal conditions for fundamental mine machine in open pit is aimed to investigate the GPS based mining systems. Thus, one of the most important problem of mine site and company is optimization, organization, time scheduling, low efficient of machine-equipment and high unit cost of mine have challenged to decrease by technological opportunities, computer and software systems. In this project, mining operation conditions observed and some crucial parameters measured in the open pit. However, investigation the opportunities of GPS usage in open pit and especially truck dispatching system in GPS based mining technology inevitable to higher production capacity and effective loading and hauling operations.
