Effects of global markets and non-economic factors on crypto currency markets

From the past to the present, the emergence of money with the discovery of trade brings about technological developments in the means of exchange that people use to exchange goods and services. In this context, money continues to continue its changes in various phases today. In the scope of the study, the role and change of money in the global system in the changing and developing era is discussed together with its effects on global markets. In the first part of the study, the emergence and changes of money, the formation of crypto money and blockchain technology, as well as bitcoin and altcoins are explained. In the second part, its impact on global markets is discussed. In the third part of the econometric analysis, the interaction of cryptocurrencies with certain commodities and causality analysis are included.
