Changes in Turkish economic thought in the globalization process

It is known that globalization is a multi-dimensional concept. Although the phenomenon of globalization has a political, social and cultural dimension, it is mostly encountered with its economic aspect. This study aims to clarify the concept of globalization and to evaluate the globalization process through the changes in Turkish economic thought. As a matter of fact, the traces of these changes can be seen very easily when we look at the historical breaking points representing the transformation of economic policies in Turkey. Although the transformations seen in various elements of the social structure due to changes in economic policies are not realized as a rupture, the traces of transformation can be easily followed. Based on the findings of the study, it can be said that Turkey has been affected by globalization-induced transformations much more than many other countries
