Effects of globalization process on developing countries? foreign trade structures (Turkey example)

In today?s world, the term globalization has been developed so that nearly all new developments have been correlated wtih this term and some descriptions were made based upon this term again. Globalization have affected a large number of fields not only in terms of meaning and content, but also its content and organizations. For this reason, one could meet a large number of explanations starting with ?globalization and? throughout the literature. The main reason for this is globalization?s very large process in terms of its cross domain.In this study, globalization?s effects on not only world trade but also on Turkey?s economy and foreign trade have been explained while discussing the changes experienced through globalization process. In this context;In first chapter of study, we discussed about explanations about globalization, its historical process and theoretical approaches towards it and again we also scrutinized development process on political, cultural and economical areas which globalization had affected during its own advancement process.In second chapter, we discussed developments on WTO (world trade organization) and CTGTA(customs tariff and general trade agreements ) of which are assessed as milestones of globalization and affect general structure of world trade and its flow. In this context, we mentioned about trade regulations and agreements and meetings. Furthermore, we also examined these channels? effects on world trade while discussing globalization?s direct and indirect effect channels theoretically.In third chapter, we mentioned economical developments and foreign trade advancements in parallel with developments of globalization process. Moreover, we discussed about economical developments since 24th January Decisions and Turkey?s liberalization process after 1980. ın addition, we also examined direct foreign investments, portfolio investments by globalization and how Exchange rates effected foreign trade.Key words: 1) Globalization, 2) WTO( World Trade Organization),3) Foreign Trade 4) Turkey Economy
