Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the marble production stages of a selected marble quarry in the Kütahya Altıntaş region were examined and the production of aggregate from marble waste was evaluated. First of all, the amount of waste material remaining during and after the production phase of the marble quarry was observed. Then, the engineering properties of the aggregates produced from marble waste were determined. In addition, after the activities in the marble quarry are completed, evaluations were made about the plan to carry out land arrangement and rehabilitation works after purchasing materials in order to restore the quarry. Information on the recovery, reuse or use as raw material in a different sector of marble mining waste and its environmental impacts were collected and evaluated. As a result, it has been seen that marble waste can be used as raw material in different sectors. All necessary planning has been made for the rehabilitation of the marble quarry and it has been concluded that rehabilitation operations should begin when the quarry activities are completed.
